Company Foundation. Brief History
By decision of 14 April 1950, The Council of Ministers has decided that The Auto-Cotroceni-Bucharest Enterprise be tranfered with all its equipments and entire staff to Medgidia, beginning with the 1st of May, under the name of Central Workshops of The General Directorate of the Danube-Black Sea Chanel, and in November 1951 the industrial and social buildings began their activity. They can still be found functioning in the actual precint of the Enterprise.
Beginning with Octomber 1952, The Enterprise passes from the General Direction of the Danube-Black Sea Chanel to the Ministry of Metallurgic Industry, Car Construction Direction, under the name of Metallurgic Enterprise for Machineries – Medgidia.
In 1990, under the Law No 15 / 1990, G.O. No 1327/21.12.1990, S.C. IMUM S.A. is being born with the legal form of a stock company.
In 2004, through the sale of shares contract, APAPS handed over the package of shares, 69.99% to a consortium made up of two private individuals. In the same year, SC IMUM SA has become a trading company with majority private capital.

The raw material that we work with is diverse and of a high quality. The works may be completed following the plans of our client or on customer demand...
